RETURN POLICY
CLOCK RECOVER Retail Return, Refund & Exchange Policy
• Established 1968 At Clock Recover, we take immense pride in our curated selection of fine vintage watches, antique clocks, and custom jewelry. Because timepieces are precision instruments, high-value assets, and frequently tailored to individual specifications, we enforce a strict and comprehensive return framework. This policy ensures the legal safeguarding of our physical inventory and guarantees that every asset offered retains its verified horological authenticity and structural integrity.
1. SALES CHANNELS & RETURN WINDOWS In-Store Purchases:
All retail transactions finalized in person at our Great Neck showroom (including vintage watches, estate clocks, and jewelry) are considered Final Sale. We encourage thorough live inspections on our premises prior to completing a purchase. No refunds, returns, or liquidation requests will be honored for in-store transactions.
Online & Remote Orders: For merchandise purchased directly through our official remote channels, customers are granted a strict 14-calendar-day return window. This period commences precisely upon the delivery timestamp provided by the designated shipping carrier. Refund requests initiated after this 14-day threshold are automatically void.
2. PREREQUISITE ITEM CONDITION & ANTI-WEAR MANDATE
To qualify for an authorized return, remote items must remain in absolute, pristine, and un-altered original condition. A timepiece or retail jewelry asset will be instantly disqualified from refund eligibility if it exhibits any signs of use, including but not limited to:
• Protective Elements: Any removal, peeling, or tampering with factory-applied protective plastics, case-back holographic stickers, or security hangtags.
• Microscopic Wear: Any hairline scratches, scuffs, dings, or blemishes on the crystal, bezel, case, links, or clasp resulting from handling.
• Mechanical Strain: Signs of over-winding, cross-threading crowns, or structural stress inflicted post-delivery.
3. ORIGINAL PACKAGING & COLLATERAL PROTECTION
A luxury or vintage watch loses substantial commercial and collectible value if returned without its complete factory accompaniment. Consequently, returns must include all original collateral materials in a completely undamaged state:
• Housing & Presentation: The original presentation box, outer storage boxes, and protective cardboard sleeves.
• Documentation: All user manuals, official certificates of authenticity, and the original stamped warranty cards or papers.
• Accessories: Any included spare components, branded cleaning cloths, and complimentary tools. Failure to deliver the asset with 100% of its original collateral will result in immediate rejection of the return shipment. CLOCK RECOVER | Retail Return & Refund Policy Page 1 of 3
4. BRACELET SIZING & STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS
Metal Bracelets: If a metal link bracelet has been mechanically sized, had links removed, or undergone any physical adjustment either by Clock Recover prior to delivery or by an external entity, the watch is classified as permanently modified and is strictly non-returnable. Leather & Fabric Straps: Leather, alligator, rubber, or fabric straps must remain completely unbuckled and pristine. If a strap displays any creasing, pinhole stretching, or structural setting due to being buckled or trialed on a wrist, the item is ineligible for return.
5. MANDATORY HOROLOGICAL INSPECTION PERIOD
Clock Recover does not issue instant or immediate refunds upon courier delivery. All incoming return packages are subjected to a mandatory 3 to 7 business day verification and inspection process conducted by our in-house master watchmakers and jewelers. This exhaustive review includes:
• Fraud Prevention: Cross-referencing case numbers, movement serial markings, and component stamps against our internal high-resolution build logs to prevent parts-swapping.
• Diagnostic Diagnostic Verification: Testing internal gear trains and hairspring balances on an electronic timegrapher to guarantee the movement performs identically to its pre-shipment state.
6. RESTOCKING FEES & EXCLUSIONS
Restocking Assessment: Authorized online returns that successfully clear our horological inspection are subject to a mandatory 15% restocking fee. This fee directly offsets specialized labor, timegrapher diagnostics, security handling, and re-cataloging costs. Absolute Sale Exclusions: The following items are explicitly categorized as final sale and cannot be returned under any circumstances:
• Custom & Bespoke Assets: Custom-built jewelry, personalized engravings, and vintage watches converted to quartz movements.
• Promotional & Exclusive Runs: Special commemorative editions, including our proprietary 16" Israel Heritage Wall Clocks.
7. SECURE RETURN SHIPPING & COURIER MANDATES
For authorized remote returns, the client assumes 100% of the operational risk, financial liability, and logistics coordination. Shipments must strictly satisfy the following criteria:
• Pre-Approval Requirement: No packages will be accepted without a pre-authorized Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) tracking number clearly labeled on the exterior box.
• Courier & Speed: Returns must be dispatched via a reputable overnight or next-day courier service (FedEx or UPS). Standard postal mail drop-boxes are strictly prohibited.
• Insurance & Verification: The package must be fully insured for its full retail purchase value and must require a mandatory, adult physical signature upon delivery to our facility.
